Over the past few months, I’ve been on a mission to make over my makeup bag. You guys already know I’m all for healthified recipes like cauliflower rice casseroles, energy bites, kale salads, and smoothies because they nourish my body well and help me maintain my energy and vibrancy (plus, I love the challenge of making spaghetti squash just as craveworthy as the real deal. Yes, I’m weird.).
Likewise, I believe that what we put on our body is just as important as what we put in it. After all, the skin is the largest organ. I’m not sure about you, but I’m not super comfortable applying potentially dangerous (and often unregulated) ingredients on a daily basis. So I’ve slowly been making the switch to more natural beauty products, and I have to say it’s actually been a ton of fun to check out a whole new world of products!
Today I thought it would be fun to share a few of my absolute favorite natural beauty brands and products on the blog. Two are long-time favorites, and one–Beautycounter–is new to me and quickly becoming a top contender. Keep reading to discover a few of my go-tos, and be sure to head over to my Instagram page (or keep scrolling to the bottom of this post) for an awesome Beautycounter giveaway!
This is one of the very first natural beauty brands I stumbled upon while browsing the Whole Body section at Whole Foods. I normally prefer to use a light tinted moisturizer, so the brand’s rose CC cream (in sheer nude) caught my eye. It’s nice and light, provides the perfect light coverage, and has a subtle rose scent. It’s the best! I also love their apricot probiotic cleaning milk because it’s creamy and hydrating and almost feels like a lotion. Last but not least, their pumpkin honey glycolic mask is great to help keep my skin tone looking even and clear every so often (and let’s be real, because it smells amazing and glycolic usually doesn’t smell great).
My virtual friend (hi, Anneliese!) recently hooked me up so I could try out a few Beautycounter products. I’ve heard SO many rave reviews of this brand and admire their complete transparency about what ingredients are included in their items (check out their appropriately named Never List!), and they work hard to lobby for ingredient disclosure, against unsafe ingredients, and more.
My personal favorite products are the No. 1 Brightening Facial Mask (my skin seemed clearer and brighter after using this mask, and it contains vitamin C which is awesome for this time of year), the Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer (this provided perfect coverage despite being so lightweight and was very moisturizing–great for fall and winter), and the Sheer Lipstick in the Twig shade (the neutral shade on this one is perfect for daily wear, and again it was super moisturizing–a common but pretty awesome theme among the products I sampled).

Acure is another great natural beauty brand I started using after spying it repeatedly at Target and Whole Foods. My absolute favorite product from Acure is hands down their rosehip oil. I notice a drastic difference in my skin whenever I’m not using it (which reminds me that I need to order more). My skin seems smoother and more even, and it helps keep my pesky adult breakouts under control by reducing dark spots. Highly, highly recommend. I recently gave their lemongrass and argan shampoo and conditioner a try and really liked both as well.
Where to Find It: Whole Foods, Amazon, Target
