In typical Friday fashion, today I’m sharing my very favorite items from around the web in food, healthy living, restaurants, fashion, and more! This post may contain affiliate links.
I’m not sure about you guys, but I am so ready for this long weekend. This past month and a half or so has been jam-packed with 3 weddings, a state fair in Massachusetts, and more–all of which was fun but has left me feeling rather worn out.
Luckily three day weekends are the best for indulging in plenty of relaxing and rejuvenating activities. Here’s what on my to-do list:
- Lunch club with coworkers at a Mediterranean spot (we meet for lunch about once per month and take turns picking a place –> this week is my pick!)
- Bake something pumpkin-related
- Clean my townhouse (maybe)
- Read (currently reading All the Light We Cannot See)
- Watch more Ozark on Netflix (<– so good)
Before I check out for the weekend, I’m sharing a few things making me smile this week from recipes I’m dying to make to fun new foodie products I’m swooning over. With everything going on the world these days, we all need to stop and appreciate the little things and count our blessings more often. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Apple pie spice. Have I been living in the dark? I’ve long been a fan of pumpkin pie spice, but I didn’t know apple pie spice existed until I spotted a small jar of the goodness at a local apple orchard. It was packaged with the cutest green and white gingham adorned lid and while that may have solidified my purchase, this spice is golden. It contains cinnamon, fenugreek, lemon peel, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg and so far I can attest that it’s fantastic sprinkled on apple slices.
All the falafel. I seriously can’t remember the last time I had falafel. The idea to make my own popped into my head last weekend, and I doubled the batch so I netted with roughly 60 mini falafel to enjoy throughout the week (don’t worry, my husband eats a lot and we’re nearly wiped out as I speak). If you haven’t already, check out my recipe for Crispy Oven-Baked Falafel – promise it’s a GOOD one!
