These 5 natural beauty products are just as good—if not even better—than many conventional favorites. Read on to discover a handful of my absolute favorites as of late. The best part? You won’t need to worry about scary ingredient lists.
When I think about “healthy living,” I think about eating a balanced diet, sure. But I also envision bigger picture components that go hand-in-hand with wellness: physical good health, mental well-being, and exercise, to name a few. Incorporating plenty of movement makes me feel more limber and active, and taking in some fresh air as often as I can simply feels good for the soul.
While The Petite Chef is primarily a space where I share (and will continue to share) nutritious yet tasty food with you all (because what kind of weirdo doesn’t love food?), I’m excited to share more healthy lifestyle posts in this space, too.
I draw so much inspiration from other bloggers’ imaginatively composed meals and helpful tidbits of advice on living the best life possible in countless ways, shapes, and forms —no matter how small. Although seemingly insignificant, these tiny glimpses show me that living an inspired, passionate, joy-filled life chock-full of wellness is achievable. And that’s what I want to show you, too…
…Starting with a fun topic: healthy beauty products! Confession: I’m a beauty product junkie—and more recently, I’ve delved further into discovering more natural products that are safer for my skin and for the earth. While I’d never call myself a fanatic – I’m definitely not perfect and I still use many non-natural products – I do like to make swaps when I can.
Keep reading to discover 5 of my absolute favorite natural beauty products that have found themselves a permanent home in my arsenal. As a bonus, all of them can be easily found at Whole Foods, Fairway, Target, and/or Amazon, and I’m including links to each item on Amazon for the sake of convenience (and for the love of online shopping). Without further ado, here are my natural must-haves!

Acure Rosehip Oil
I started hearing more and more about rosehip oil a year or two ago everywhere I turned: various blogs I read, my mom, even random family friends. After hearing so much about it, I picked up this bottle at Whole Foods and decided to finally give it a whirl. Verdict: this is never leaving my natural beauty arsenal.
Never heard of it? Rosehip oil, also known as rosehip seed oil, is derived from the seeds of certain varieties of rose grown predominantly in Chile. It’s full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that are known for correcting dark spots, hydrating the skin, and even reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I honestly feel like this product really helps reduce my acne and keep my skin looking vibrant and bright, and as a bonus it’s perfect for removing stubborn eye makeup! I’ve used this brand as well and like it, too, but the Acure is my favorite.
Primal Pit Paste Deodorant
OK, we’re going to jump right into TMI territory quickly, but I’m not embarrassed one bit to share this product with you all. For years I pretty much gave up on finding a more natural deodorant option because none of them even remotely worked…until this one.
Primal Pit Paste is aluminum-free, paraben-free, and comes in fun scents like lavender, orange creamsicle, and lemongrass (my favorite so far is the orange creamsicle which leaves a nice, light citrus and vanilla scent behind).
Desert Essence Coconut Soft Curls Hair Cream
This hair cream is for the curly- and wavy-haired girls out there, although you may find this product useful for creating soft waves if your hair is naturally straight. Scented like a pina colada in a bottle (I’m not lying!), this creamy yet lightweight product helps add texture and definition to my waves while controlling frizz. If I go without hot styling tools like a curling iron, this is the perfect quick fix to reign in my crazy locks and feel put-together enough to go out in public without doing much (read: anything) else.
Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses CC Cream
I first tried this product on a whim while perusing the beauty aisle at my local Whole Foods, and I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I loved it! This color + correct (CC) cream feels light on the face, moisturizers so well, and provides the perfect hint of light, natural-looking color minus the scary ingredients. It also smells like fresh roses. As a bonus, it includes SPF 30 sunscreen, so my dermatologist can finally stop yelling at me. I use the shade “Sheer Nude.”
Humphrey’s Witch Hazel
This product works wonderfully as a natural toner for the skin, meaning it helps provide a deep cleaning and remove impurities that may still remain after washing your face. I use the regular version after I cleanse and towel-dry, but it also comes in cucumber melon if you’re looking for a fresh scent (and a throwback to middle school, anyone?).
